Camera handling
In Windows settings, I can adjust the camera hardware input in a few ways. Specifically, it’s handy to rotate a web-vam from ‘landscape’ to ‘portrait’.
The site doesn’t appear to adapt to that. If I rotate the camera, the site shows the extreme ‘top’ of the video only. Other apps show the full rotated video as-expected.
The extreme top is the least interesting bit :-)

“Autorotation”, which means changing the value of a piece of “metadata” that basically says how the image should be rotated to match the way the camera was pointing, is much more efficient than having to recalculate every pixel; however it sometimes seems to have created as many problems as it solved. Not all software handles this metadata properly. This article may help:

It probably explains why I often tell someone in an online chat that their image is upside down, and they swear that it’s not.

This is a screenshot showing the live ‘portrait’ camera view in the Windows device settings view, which the website crops to use just the top of the frame.
Camera was set to 1080p, rotated right.

Is there any way you can explain how we can reproduce this?
